Also, if you find a bastion, some of them have nether wart in the 'treasure chamber'. But in essence, keep exploring. WebNether quadrants are 368x368, a structure must attempt to spawn in each quadrant (either a bastion or fortress, ruined portals dont count), if the biome for the structure is invalid, nothing spawns, but the only invalid biome for nether structures is bastions in basalt deltas, so theres a pretty low chance of a structure not spawning in a quadrant.
