David brown 990 hydraulic leaking
WebSep 24, 2009 · I'm not sure where the gear box/hydraulic filter is on your machine - the early white 990's had a smallish filter on the LH side of the driver's seat. This was soon changed to a larger filter in a pan under the gearbox (K920522). This will be ovbious when you look underneath and will have a small brass drain plug to let any oil out of the housing! WebSep 20, 2013 · The brake for the 3 point lever is adjusted by the 2 nuts on the side of the housing near your right heel. They take a 3/4" wrench. WebFeb 12, 2014 · Its a 990A. It has a Cessna valve on the right side for hydraulic take off. It doesn't have a 3 way valve on the ram itself. Problem is that the hydraulics are weak, and unless you rev the engine up the lift arms take probably 45-60 seconds to raise.. no implement. So far, I have checked the fluid level, good. WebHow do I diagnose a won't lift problem with David Brown 990 Hydraulic lift? My David Brown 990 tractor is refusing to raise the 3 Pt hitch. The time before when I used it the hydraulics whined a little but did eventually lift full height. The rebuild kit for your pump is #K262265, It has 2 or 3 gaskets, diaphragm, some O-rings, and a couple plastic screens. $15 aftermarket, twice that from mother Fiat.
WebJan 8, 2015 · This doesn't appear to be a problem (some consider it better because if it leaks into the engine it won't do any damage) however you shouldn't mix the two types as they can froth. WebJan 14, 2009 · The oil admitedly was slightly creamy as water must have entered from running down the gear sticks, so oil and filters have been changed, another David brown tractor has easily lifted the weight on the post knocker, so that is working ok, and I have lifted a tipper trailer with the external hydraulics ok but with a slow return. scott lawin candyWebOct 24, 2016 · RE: DB 990 Selectamatic with low oil pressure and leaking by erkki » Fri Aug 26, 2016 4:13 am Before taking the engine on desk, check that there is no extra leak on the valve mechanism on the cylinder head.
